Senior UI Designer

About the Role

The Opportunity
You are a master of organizing information, developing impactful experience concepts, and designing advanced layouts and interactions for all kinds of digital products, services and devices ranging from smartphones and tablets to car interfaces and home appliances. You have a deep understanding and appreciation for research and testing, information architecture, interaction design and functional specifications, and can deliver exceptional results across all forms of visual design including motion and 3D.

You will work on projects with minimal supervision and be a key member of interdisciplinary teams working in a structured and comprehensive design process that incorporates human insights, data, evolving service models and varying consumer contexts to create compelling and game changing products and services. You will lead client communications to articulate ideas and present design direction on projects.

Essential Tasks:

Create work products such as mood boards, exploration boards, design explorations, high fidelity prototypes, key screens and style guides
Apply visual design direction to wireframes and create high-end visual comps
Define visual behaviors (transitions and animations)
Produce dev-ready assets
Collaborate with IA/IxDs to define overall UX concepts
Present visual designs to clients
Mentor junior designers in design process, practices and methodologies
Continually keep yourself and your team up to date with the latest trends in design and in applicable industries, and apply them to your work

Have a true understanding of icon impact's business goals and the business goals of our clients
Develop an in-depth understanding of products and brand strategy
Contribute to design efforts for new business and pitch activities
Be able to present and defend your / your team s design decisions

Qualifications

Qualifications / Specifications:

5+ years design expertise and design portfolio demonstrating design excellence across various devices, formats and context
Must understand the opportunities and constraints of design across mixed screens, modes and devices
Expert in various design process methodologies and able to apply the right methodology to the design challenge at hand
Can adapt a design process to support rapid prototyping
Solid knowledge of prototyping tools, usability testing or user research
Some understanding of digital ecosystems and software platforms
Must have web/mobile site and UI visual design experience
Photoshop and Illustrator expert
Illustration and animation skills are a plus
3D skills are a plus
Knowledge of sketch is a plus
Mobile/cross-channel is a big plus
