Job Description

This is a remote position.

CIPD Tutor (Apprentice Programme)

Location:
UK remote working
Contract:Open to Applicant Preference

Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of our tutor is to provide academic and experienced support to students studying respective CIPD qualifications, the ultimate aim is to support them to succeed. It will be
expectedfor the job holder tocoordinate, assess, and review our students learning activities. It is expected that our tutors will provide effective, varied, and frequent interactions when necessary to ensure that our students will achieve their maximum potential throughout their learning journey.
Working remotely, with some attendance required for training for certain aspects of the assessment process - although this is currently being undertaken online, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the students are achieving the required standard of academic success;
  • Monitoring the academic performance of assigned student(s) throughout their learning journey;
  • Monitoring student s progress over the duration of their learning journey;
  • Delivering high quality feedback in a timely and consistent fashion when the assigned student(s) submit their Full and Final assignment and assignment content plan, and where applicable, any resubmitted assignments;
  • Understanding content of each unit to be able to provide effective feedback and suggestions;
  • Attending, and where applicable, leading on monthly, online, Q and A sessions for respective students.

Essential Requirements:


  • CIPD Chartered Member or equivalent;
  • Understanding of CIPD qualification structure;
  • Relevant HR sector skills, knowledgeand/or experience;
  • Has Apprenticeship Tutor experience or someone who is willing to be trained to fulfil this role;
  • Delivered and assessed People Management and/or Organisational L&D qualifications at Level 3 or 5/Foundation and Associate level;
  • The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative;
  • Student-centric;
  • A can-do positive approach to workload management with the ability to proactively prioritise accordingly;
  • Possesses the ability to create and develop course materials;
  • A person who is happy to take ownership of responsibilities and embraces accountability;
  • The ability to provide high quality constructive, personal feedback;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Excellent computer/IT skills;
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.


Preferable but not essential:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent;
  • Experience at providing person-centred feedback, which includes: marking/assessing student submissions, providing qualitative written and on occasion F2F feedback, guidance and support.
