Devops Architect

Responsibilities:

• Work with technologies and GCP cloud services to automate platforms and software deployments in a fast paced, scalable, secure and consistent manner.
  
• Evaluate architecture choices on an ongoing basis and establiss DevOps practices that supports and enables Marketplace delivery teams and Telus business
  
• Understand tool chains, build environment and delivery of builds for the Development and System teams and drive infrastructure and tooling improvements
  
• Co-work with existing build team, support and deliver tool chains to be used by the development and Systems teams
  
• Evaluation and automation of build and deployment process and implementation of appropriate tools for build and release activities
  
• Creating Build and Deployment related Jobs like Jenkins jobs, Ansible Playbooks ,Terraform Templates etc..
  
• Understanding the build flow for print platforms, making new build nodes, debugging the build failures and supporting the development releases on time
  
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Participate and Enable team members to Participate Agile Ceremonies to achieve business goals in timely manner
  

Requirements

Skill set Requirements:

• A Seasoned DevOps architect with a minimum of 10 years overall experience.
  
• [Must] Very good understanding and Hands on in setting up CI/ CD workflows and DevOps ecosystems (Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins , Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Sonarqube, Nexus, Spinnaker, Helm, Argo etc.)
  
• [Must] Strong understanding and Having hands on experience on Environment Configuration (Writing Ansible Playbooks) , Infrastructure as Code (Terraform templates)
  
• [Must] Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate, mentor and build synergy within the team
  
• [Must] Very good working knowledge of the different tool chains available and the ecosystems (Nexus, VM, Jira)
  
• [Must] Very good working knowledge of optimization features in the tool chain and impact on the generation of images
  
• [Must] Exposure to Container Technologies like Docker and Kubernetes etc...
  
• [Plus] Containerization, Docker Files and micro services architecture-based application design.
  
• [Plus] Extensive production experience using the Google Cloud Platform including Compute, Networking, Functions, Kubernetes, storage and security
  
• [Plus] Production experience using Google s big data technology stack, including big query, big query storage, big query analytics and cloud data prep
