Hiring Manager Summary

The Senior Systems Administrator provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft's on-premises platform to include Microsoft Windows Active Directory (AD). The Senior Systems Administrator will be a subject matter expert in using Active Directory Group Policy to implement security standards on Domain Controllers, Domain Member Servers and Domain Member Workstations and will have extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles, and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; and networking fundamentals. The candidate must have demonstrated prior and active experience in managing multi-domain issues and be an expert in troubleshooting.

Job Purpose:

The Infrastructure IT Lead provides infrastructure consulting and direction in the design and delivery of broad infrastructure solutions. He/she partners with the Service Delivery Manager to provide simplified and streamlined infrastructure representation on project teams. The Infrastructure IT Lead applies core knowledge across multiple infrastructure specialties to elicit and document detailed infrastructure requirements for projects. The Infrastructure IT Lead then facilitates the request process for the infrastructure work required, answering clarifying questions and tracking progress through completion; thereby, ensuring an accurate and timely delivery of infrastructure services.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform the following responsibilities in an advanced/expert capacity and lead others in these functions:

In a Senior/Lead capacity, represent infrastructure as a participant and subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams. Lead the infrastructure design session to ensure the infrastructure solution provides scalability, stability, quality, supportability, and performance. Educate others, collaborate and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, team members, peers and customers to influence infrastructure decisions.

Elicit and document infrastructure requirements to produce defined deliverables for the customer.

Submit and track infrastructure work requests on behalf of the project team. Provide accurate and timely updates to the project team. Direct activities of infrastructure specialists to ensure accurate and timely completion of requests. Escalate issues and expedite processing when necessary.

Continually enhance and share infrastructure best practices, technologies and standard service offerings. Acquire, apply and train others in new technical skills as driven by business need, project experience or technology advancements. Develop and maintain a proficient level of understanding of industry trends and proactively work as appropriate with decision-makers to influence change within and across IT organization units.

Promptly and professionally assume ownership and respond to customer requests. Provide support for simple to complex situations, providing exceptional customer service. Lead cross-functional teams as necessary to drive resolution of customer requests.

Job Requirements:

• BS in MIS, CIS or CS or equivalent trade-off in related education and related professional work experience.
• 6+ years of directly related IT work experience.
• Demonstrated thought leadership, problem solving and applied research skills.
• Demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities in executing multiple concurrent projects, providing technical leadership in infrastructure architecture and design.
• Demonstrated proficient working knowledge in a business environment in at least 5 of the following
