Infrastructure Architect

Job Title: Infrastructure Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA/ Initial remote for 3 months
Duration: 11 months (Project will get extended)

Note: Candidate doesn't involve in any hands on work, No on call support expectation, Must have very good at communication and presentation skills, discuss and offer guidence to the customers

Responsibilities:
Help to inject software architecture design patterns and software engineering best-practices into infrastructure operations
Define how the organization should integrate various technologies across layers and coordinate automated tasks across different domains
Facilitate and contribute to the definition and refinement of automation strategy, architecture and standards for private cloud infrastructure
Coordinate the identification of automation opportunities, define approaches and solution architectures
Lead efforts to codify, deploy and operate prioritized automation
Champion automation efforts across teams
Enable self-service via end-to-end automation to:
o Reduce time for cloud infrastructure service provisioning
o Raise user satisfaction with self-service functions
o Improve service uptime due to automation of manual, error-prone, changes
o Minimize handoffs between different teams which otherwise would be manual
o Maximize re-use and maintainability of automation assets
Integration of Infrastructure Management processes and technologies
IT Process Automation
Server Life Cycle Automation
Continuous Configuration Automation
Application Release Automation Continuous Integration and Deployment
Storage Automation
Network Automation
Hardware Provisioning Automation

Minimum qualifications
Understanding of enterprise integration design patterns
Experience in software engineering and software architecture

Preferred qualifications
Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices and the full technology stack
Experience in defining IT strategy, standards, and architecture particularly with automation, private cloud services and IT infrastructure
Background in architecting and designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain
4+ years of experience as a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or in an architect consulting delivery role with a solution sales mentality
2+ years focused on private cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures
Demonstrated ability to work with distributed cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
Cloud and IT infrastructure such as:
o Kubernetes, Anthos, VMware vRealize Suite
o Software defined networking, storage systems architecture, virtualization, containers, serverless technologies, big-data and ML platforms
o Familiarity with security fundamentals at the infrastructure, including hypervisor, and operating system levels

o Research, analysis and facilitating collaborative decision-making
o Communication presentation, documentation
o Business case development and program leadership
