Billing specialist

Role & Responsibilities:

The Billing Specialist will assist in the day-to-day activities and various responsibilities pertaining to customer billing and revenue reporting within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years' experience in a fast-paced environment. The ability to meet deadlines and flexibility in handling changing priorities are essential to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

Action one-time and recurring billing duties across multiple systems

Analyze and validate customer, product, and pricing data for completeness and accuracy

Validate and confirm solar system production against guaranteed output

Accurate and timely responses to requests from internal and external customers including accounting, sales, and support

Ensure sales tax, fees, and other miscellaneous charges are correctly applied to invoices

Prepare reconciliations of billable accounts to assure quality standards are consistently met

Special projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Evidence of exceptional ability

Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and/or Operations role preferred

Previous experience with data validation and analysis preferred

Advanced Excel skills preferred

SQL ability preferred but not required

Skilled in learning new software/tools with minimal supervision

Professional written and verbal communication skills required

Ability to thrive in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
