Job Description:-
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer utilizes in-depth understanding and experience in current DoD Risk Management Framework, Platform IT (PIT), and the implementation of Cyber Security and IA boundary defence techniques and various IA-enabled appliances to facilitate certification and security engineering tasks in support of the customer's system security objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develops Risk Management Framework packages to support assessment and accreditation for Combat Systems and sub-systems.
- Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.
- Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance and procedures for combat systems.
- Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DOD cyber assurance.
Required Skills:
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- High school diploma with a minimum of 13 years' experience.
- Must possess a Secret clearance.
- Requires 5 years' specific experience analysing and securing DoD or information technology systems for compliance with Cyber Security policies and requirements.
- Must be familiar with the DoD Risk Management Framework and be capable of independently developing RMF packages.
- IAT Level II or Level III certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01.
- Familiarity with the DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application as used to develop, manage and track IA artefact's.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance and procedures for combat systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, DoD IA policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
- Must be proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio) and other tools to develop required system documentation.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Naval Combat Systems preferably for the Littoral Combat Ship class.
- Bachelor's (BS/BA) degree.
- Appointment as a Navy Qualified Validator (Level II).
