Lead Tableau Developer

Role: Tableau developer

Location: Woodlands, TX (Onsite 1^st day for onboarding) Travel expenses will be paid.

Duration: 6+ months

High level skills required for this role:

ETL tools including extraction and transformation for Tableau (i.e. Tableau Prep)

Design/Data Modeling (should include the following but not limited to)

o Performance

o Reusability

o Security

o Support

Tableau Frontend/Dashboard Development

Requirement gathering

Testing (unit, system integration, and support of user acceptance)

Production Support

Nice to have:

Exposure to SAP data

Exposure to SFDC

Version Control Tools (i.e. TortoiseSVN)

Additional skills & information for this role:

Good verbal communication

Good functional knowledge

o Good understanding of how to work with users to draw out business requirements

o Utilize prototyping to align on understanding

o Experience interfacing with users

Production support experience including business user support & data loading

Hands-on, practical experience and ability to provide practical examples to illustrate understanding of technical concepts vs simply textbook definitions

User acceptance testing as well as unit and integration testing

Good technical experience with Tableau frontend including building Tableau frontend reports

Experience with the ETL tools/process for sourcing and transforming data for Tableau including extraction work (this skill is key for this position as a big part of their focus is building out the global data sources that are published to Tableau and used by both the business publishers and well as IT team to develop dashboards)

Experience with Salesforce (not required but definitely preferred)

Backend experience with modeling data, blending, joining data for Tableau consumption. This is a big part of the role right now as they build out their new Enterprise Analytics environment

Experience with version control tools
