You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Python Developer will apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex data analytics business issues within the Gainwell Technologies Medicaid Health and Life Sciences domain using established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. The Python Developer's responsibilities will include:
Assisting in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements, desired features, and analysis documents.
Researching software concepts, develop and demo proof of concept.
Reviewing functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback.
Collaborating with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency.
Developing automated unit/integration tests.
Participation in architecture, design, and code reviews.
Maintaining operational and system level documentation.
Communicating within the domain's agile processes with the integration team.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field, MS/MA desired
Healthcare Industry Data Analytics experience a huge plus
5+ years of relevant development experience with Python using NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, AngularJS, and Node.js.
2+ years of hands-on experience on Big Data databases such Vertica, SQL Server/Synapse and AWS RedShift.
2+ years professional experience with Flask Framework.
2+ years professional experience building data pipelines using cloud computing platforms.
1+ years professional experience using UNIX/Linux command line environments and shell scripting.
1+ years professional experience using, importing, and exporting data in XML, CSV, XLSX files.
Desired Skills
Experience working within an organization's Health and Life Sciences domain, State Medicaid, and/or Health Insurance Plans.
Experience with version control systems such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps Server.
Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira.
Experience with SQL Development and SQL Server Database, a plus
