Job Description
The Position
Connect and inspire others with your love of music! As a guitar teacher with Resound, you will bring your passion and enthusiasm for music into your students' lives every week you teach them. Join our growing team and help us to educate a future generation of musicians.
Full-time and part-time hours are available.
Typical hours are afternoons and evenings after 3:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Who We Are
Since 2009, Resound School of Music has specialized in at-home music lessons that are fun and engaging for each student. We believe that with the right teacher, anyone can excel with music; thats why we hand-pick and match each new student to each teacher based on their personality, goals, and musical interests as part of our student onboarding process.
Our unique and proven approach has already helped thousands of students throughout Metro Vancouver, but were only just getting started. As we continue expanding our school's reach, we hope that you will become a part of our growing team!
What You'll Be Doing
Commuting by vehicle to your students homes in Surrey, BC.
Teaching private guitar lessons to students ranging from 30 to 60 minutes in length.
Preparing individualized lesson plans for each student based on their goals and interests in order to keep them motivated and excited to learn the guitar.
What You Have
A positive, fun, and enthusiastic personality.
A high level of musical competence and proficiency on the guitar.
Ability to teach guitar to different skill levels and in a variety of musical styles.
Ability to connect with a diverse range of students of different ages, genders, and backgrounds, etc.
A valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle to travel to lessons.
A love and passion for teaching music!
Compensation
Our starting rate ranges from $40.00-$45.00 per hour, plus additional bonuses for travel. We also believe in promoting from within, and provide opportunities for growth and advancement for those who demonstrate the right characteristics.
