Job Description

Job Title: Material Coordinator I 34942

Description:

  • Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanban's in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving.
  • Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product.
  • Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules.
  • Ensures material logistics follow Company Production Systems principles.
  • Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically, an initial position in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages.
  • May provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials.
  • Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance.
  • Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
  • Will support Proto Build Coordinator with the investigation and follow-up of shortages on Prototypes by focusing on shortages and working with the appropriate buyer to ensure parts are prior to the prototype build.
  • Will follow up and track shortages till issued to the job
  • Will have daily use in E10 our ERP System
  • Will use Agile PLM system to follow up on upcoming BOM, change orders
  • Will support the PMO group with various administrative duties
  • Assist prepare packages for shipment in a timely manner as requested
  • Complete daily reporting and other duties as assigned.
  • Learn, apply, and recommend policies and practices that facilitate prototypes and Limited Production Builds through the production floor
  • Provide timely communication and correspondence with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Build trust and respect of colleagues and stakeholders by consistently executing on responsibilities

Shift:

  • Process minded Can be flexible - Monday-Friday 1st shift 8-5 (must be available 3-5pm)

Education:

  • BA or equivalent experience in Business background

Skills:

  • Background in excel
