About the job

We are hiring a Culinary Ingredient Executive for the Culinary team at HelloFresh. In this exciting role, you will be involved in the planning and development of delicious add-on and side recipes using the best ingredients! You will be involved in the ingredient sampling and the SKU onboarding process, following specific briefs. To succeed in this role you'll have experience in running sampling sessions/ paneling and have experience in product development, as well as a strong understanding of the importance of target costs. You'll need to be comfortable with using data or be willing to learn in order to solve real business challenges. You will also need to be highly organised, adaptable and have a creative approach to solving problems.



What you will be doing:


Creating, costing, cooking, and writing delicious add on side dishes based on briefs from the product team.

Weekly cooking and sampling of ingredients for key projects/initiatives.

Sourcing benchmarks to ensure that our ingredients both new and current are the best they can be.

Developing ingredient recipes for our suppliers to match. Followed by benchmarking the supplier submission against our internal recipe.

Brainstorming ideas and working with other team members to ensure that all recipes that are created are of the highest calibre and meet customer demands.

Responding to customer feedback on a weekly basis. Learning from feedback and reworking recipes to make sure customer satisfaction is guaranteed.

Responsible for the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and the ingredients used in recipe development.




Who you are:


2+ years of experience as a product developer/development chef/recipe developer within a recognisable food manufacturing or retail environment and a qualification in food e.g. bachelors degree.

To succeed in this role, youll need to have excellent proven experience in product sampling as well as creating, cooking and writing delicious recipes that appeal to a wide range of customers

You will need a strong understanding of the importance of target costs. To hit budgetary targets and the ability to adjust ingredients and recipes according to changing business circumstances.

Confident in your ability to influence key stakeholders, work cross-functionally and autonomously.

Project management experience, including driving improvement of processes and ways of working.

Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal - you'll need to be able to write grammatically correct recipes and structured reports.

Proven organisational skills: ability to manage priorities simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Confident in offering constructive criticism to other members of the team in group recipe discussions.

Recruitment process: first, you will have a phone interview with a member of our Talent Acquisition team.
