DATABASE APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR

Contract, Fully Remote

Must be able to work on our W2 (GC/USC)

The Application Administrator will be an integral part of the installation, configuration and support of a specific application.

Responsibilities:

• The Application Administrator will install, test, implement and optimize the application.


• Install all prerequisite 3rd party software (Example: OC4J, JDK, Oracle client software) and configure the required software in accordance with the specifications contained in the application install documentation.


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise in the application systems.


• Perform all the required database and applications administration activities in development, test and production environments.


• Support GO-LIVE activities.

Mandatory Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in the installation, configuration and support of the database in use by the application.


• Must have a passion for learning new technology


• Strong Communication skills, computer programming acumen and the ability to analyze systems and determine how these systems can meet client needs.


• Windows administration


• PowerShell


• IIS / .NET administration


• Troubleshooting HTTP communications


• SSL/TLS bindings; certificate management

• MS SQL Server Management


• Cloud Experience (Azure, AWS)


• DevOps/CICD (Azure DevOps, Vault configs)


• Linux admin experience


• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS, Rafay)
