Role: Senior Support Engineer

Relevant experience of 7+ years in providing application support
Domain experience is must (Capital market/Banking)
Work location: Bangalore (Kothanur, Hennur Road, Near Decathlon)
Mode of work: Work from home till the company announces the return to the office.
Primary Duties
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to BAU incidents and provide the necessary support to the Production Systems Group (PSG) team
- Introduce new markets into the trading systems which involves SQL and config changes across multiple databases and components
- Follow the standard release procedure to roll out changes to the PSG and QA teams using Jupyter notebooks and Ansible
- Ensure incidents and problems are appropriately tracked in the JIRA system
- Mentor junior members of the team and contribute ideas to improve existing processes
- Contribute to root cause analyses and work with development teams to prioritize and release fixes
- Monitor data vendor change notifications and analyze and assess impact by working in conjunction with the development teams
- Improve productivity, supportability, and efficiency by automation of repeatable tasks using tools and scripting preferably in Python
- Create and improve system and process documentation (Run books, Known Errors, Process Workflows, etc)
- Maintain pro-active communication with relevant stakeholders including external vendors during incident management
