Career Transitions Holdings, LLC is engaged to identify a Director of Purchasing for a progressive and growing manufacturing company located in the Elkhart, IN area.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain, the Director of Purchasing will manage 2 direct and 10 indirect reports and will be responsible for:

• Allocation forecasting of low volume, high complexity inventory.


• Coordinating and controlling inventory levels based on production and resolving shortages


• Continuously improving material flow, processes and efficiency of all purchasing functions and employees


• Creating KPIs and continuously update monitoring documents required to report daily performance


• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships


• Performing ongoing supplier assessments


• Analyzing supplier cost structures, commodity pricing, and productivity performance to deliver cost improvements


• Negotiating contract terms and conditions


• Managing supplier onboarding/offboarding

Director of Purchasing Background Profile:

• BS degree preferred


• 10+ years of progressive purchasing and procurement experience


• 5+ years experience managing procurement group


• Strong MS office skills
