Warehouse Operative

Summary
DWA Commercial Ltd are a UK based Supply and Service company that specialises in Hygiene, Packing and Safety products. We are now hiring for a Full-Time Warehouse operative.

The role is based at Great Ouseburn (York).

Working hours: Mon to Fri 10 - 6pm.

Immediate start.

A permanent contract will be offered following a successful
3-month trial period.

Full UK driving licence.

A full current Forklift licence is preferred.

Business travel expenses reimbursed.

As a warehouse operative, you may be asked to work in various areas of our operation and distribution centres, the main departments being inbound and outbound.

Your tasks will include:

Receiving, sorting and storage of daily deliveries into the warehouse.

Office Administration tasks to support the operation where required.

Management of stock, including regular stock checks.

Occasional Stock Collection and small order fulfilment (Company Van)

Handling the full range of products including but not limited to hygiene products, chemicals, packaging, and service equipment.

Adhering to internal processes and procedures.

You will be required to adhere to strict safety, quality and production standards and consistently achieve the Minimum Acceptable Performance Standard (MAPS) set for your department.

Standing and/or walking for extended periods of between 4 and 8 hours per shift (standard full-time shifts up to 8 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary)

Lifting and moving products up to 23kg in weight.

Picking, packing, and loading customer orders to a high standard

High standard of warehouse cleanliness and organisation, ensuring warehouse utilisation is maximised.

Manual dexterity of both hands and wrists.

Fulfilling additional duties as requested by the Office Manager or Senior Management.
