TX - Clinical Lab Scientist - Midland

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the designated Section Manager/Supervisor,performs clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrument calibration andmaintenance.The position reports to the appropriate Section Manager/Supervisor. The Clinical LaboratoryScientist I also maintains cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental andinterdepartmental personnelEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or higher No experience necessary. Must provide documentation of successful completion of a Medical Technology /Clinical Laboratory Science training program. Promotion by authority of the Department Manager based on performance and notexperience. Must provide documentation of passing a National Certification exam (American SocietyClinical Pathology, AMT, etc.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialresponsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to: Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. forclinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. Assumes supervisory responsibility of ahighly skilled group of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Clinical Laboratory Technicians,and support staff, as delegated in the absence of the Technical Supervisor.
