(Senior) Backend / Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our engineering team. You
will be involved in designing Fintico s product at the very earliest stage and play out your skills in a highly motivated team. You will be responsible for new features and a scalable architecture to enable the future of Embedded Lending.

Tasks

What you will do

• You will be one of the core employees in a hands-on team that takes pride in high coding standards and modern development practices.
• You will be using technologies like Node.js, Vue.js, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes and modern databases to build and scale our platform.
• You participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• You collaborate with other teams to refine product features and brainstorm ideas.
• Your first tasks are supporting the migration of our dockerized infrastructure to AWS and the extension of our Node.js backend with additional functions to automize customer processes.

Requirements

What we are looking for

• Experience building a product end-to-end, through the technical design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.
• Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
• A deep understanding of backend production systems.
• Follow best practices for privacy and security.
• Experienced in JavaScript, TypeScript, and two other programming languages.
• Plus: Have experience working on payments systems or risk systems.

Who will you work with

Michael founded Fintico in 2022 and is responsible for the tech and engineering side of Fintico. He is an experienced entrepreneur who has built start-ups in the electrical engineering and telecommunication industry from the first product idea into sustainable and scalable businesses. He has led hard- and software development teams on- and near-shore to deliver new capabilities at pace.
