Security Research Engineer - Remote

Role Overview:

The Security Engineer will have the responsibility to ensure that all products, technology and services delivered by the product engineering teams meet and comply with established security processes and controls. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving security engineering practices in a commercial software development environment. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and good knowledge in product architecture and software security.

This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

Responsible for the successful implementation of a Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) process in the organization. This includes activities such as Security Architecture and design reviews, Secure code reviews, Static Application Security Testing, Dynamic Analysis, Threat Modeling, Fuzz Testing, Pen testing, Vulnerability analysis, etc.
Interface with other Security Champions and participate in company-wide Security initiatives.
Identify and further Security Education and Learning within the broader organization Required Experience/Skills & Education.
Working with cross-functional and virtual teams.


About you:

B.Tech / BE / BSc in Computer Science with 5+ year of expertise in Software Development.
At least 3 years of strong, demonstrable Security Engineering experience in a modern commercial software development organization working with mobile, web, cloud and APIs.
Must have direct technical involvement and drive architecture, design and future evolution of products from a security perspective.
Good understanding of secure design/review of Network Application/Protocols.
Knowledge in Cryptography principles and application of same in designing security solutions.
Experience in a security role supporting business commitments in a highly dynamic environment.
Expertise in Pentesting, complete understanding of various attack vectors, Vulnerability analysis and application reversing skills.
Well-versed in Threat modelling.
Strong leadership, communication skills and business acumen.
Strong analytical, logical reasoning skills and Efficient in problem solving.
Strong mobile systems knowledge with Android and IOS.
