full stack cloud engineer

We are recruiting for a Software Engineer with responsibilities for engineering accountability for solutions using cloud platforms. In addition, the Software Engineer is responsible for working across cloud technology platforms to plan and execute integrations and microservice architectures.

This position will be part of a forward-looking, innovative, and delivery minded team of software professionals that build platforms and applications for our Commercial lines of business, enabling the future of healthcare in the Digital World.

The position is in multiple locations across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

The selected individual will act as a Software Engineer, responsible for leading the technical implementation and mentoring software engineers with different levels of expertise.

What is expected of you?

• Develop products based on the AWS services for our Janssen Pharmaceuticals set of products. This growing list of products include Lambda, Aurora, CloudWatch, S3, API Gateway, EC2, and Secrets Manager
• Have an interest to manage the entire lifecycle of infrastructure using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
• Be a part of and drive engagement within multiple Community of Practices with regards to AWS services.
• Respond rapidly to new business technical opportunities in the emerging pharmaceutical space and understand what cloud tools can help solve complicated opportunities.
• In addition to the project work, drive consistency across the portfolio by partnering with global peers to identify re-use opportunities.
• Continuously improve the developer experience, development lifecycle and integrations within our globally distributed teams.

Education and Certification:

• AWS certifications that overlap our services and motivation to continue to grow certifications as needed.
• Certification in Agile Methodologies is preferable.

• Have a specialist understanding of the extensive AWS platforms including services for API Gateway, EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SES, SecretsManager, CloudWatch, RDS, Dynamo, and EKS
• Extensive experience with designing API's and complex integration architectures.
• Strong relationship-building skills, influencing internal and external partners with shared and divergent interests, function or flexible environment is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills, facilitating raised issues to resolution.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Results driven and a self-starter mentality required.
