DevOps CICD - Automation Lead Engineer, Assistant Manager

Job Description
The DevOps Automation Engineer is responsible for the effective planning and delivery of DevOps project deliverables for SSGA. This individual will have solid Hands on technical experience.
In this role, individual needs to utilize coding skills and automation expertise, interact and collaborate with diverse geographically distributed teams, and to establish best practice/guideline for application build and deploy. This individual is responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved.


Work Hours:
Monday - Friday 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST. (Should be flexible to work in any hours as per the need, along with being on call for weekend and urgent situations outside these hours).

Basic Qualifications
: Experienced Engineer with 7+ years experience out of which at least 5+ years Hands on experience in leading DevOps projects technically, in heterogenous environments. Consulting, Architect, implementation experience in BFSI domain will be preferred.
Candidate should be a B.Tech/B.E/Masters degree in Computer Science
Excellent understanding of Continuous Development and Continuous Delivery
Excellent knowledge and experience DevOps Pipeline
Excellent understanding of SDLC process
Excellent understanding of Development Challenges in highly regulated Financial sector
Solid understanding of regulatory controls in Build and Deploy
Cloud and Linux certifications is a Plus
Must have experience in Leading and Managing a DevOps team



Essential Skills:

Expert in Designing and Implementing DevOps Stack preferable with Atlassian stack Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and FishEye/Crucible
Expert knowledge with Hands on experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory & Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, Fisheye/Crucible, JFrog, JIRA, Confluence)
Must have expert level experience in Designing and Implementing Pipeline
Nice to have an expertise in Elastic Search, IBM Jazz, Rational ClearQuest & ClearCase
Knowledge & Understanding of (including configuring and adopting) build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle
Must be able to write shell scripting, Python, Groovy
Expertise in Agile, DevOps/Release Engineering, and Automated deployment processes
Experience with Linux and Windows
Hands on; i.e. willing to revamp/optimize Ant or Gradle scripts
Experience in Java and .net (Windows) build and debug
Experience in creating and designing build and deployment pipeline
Experience and configuration management tools
Knowledge of Security analysis and penetration testing tools
Understanding of Automated Testing and Monitoring
Must have experience in developing a RoadMap
