Job Description

Virtual Nurse Practitioner -Ontario

About the role:

We are looking for a caring and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality mental health care services to our patients.

Our patients are our #1 priority, and we strive to provide compassionate and understanding care that goes beyond the traditional and stigmatized doctors office visits. This role is remote work from home.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be providing seamless evaluation and treatment for adults with ADHD, and eventually, depression, anxiety, and other conditions. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with our Clinical Operations teams to determine the best care for our patients. We will utilize expert clinicians combined with leading technology to reduce barriers to accessing mental healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Collect and gather information for initial mental health assessments using a trauma-informed approach

Diagnose patients with conditions appropriate for outpatient treatment such as ADHD

Perform assessments, provide education and support clients in navigating mental health diagnosis and treatment

Chart client encounters and management in EMR.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the patient experience

What were looking for:

Strong commitment to working with individuals living with mental illness

Master's degree in Nursing, advanced practice option, and a complimentary diploma in primary care.

Two (2) years of recent nursing or nurse practitioner experience in mental health

Excellent communication skills and empathetic care delivery

A calm and non-judgmental communication style

Bonus Assets:

Experience working with gender and sexually diverse communities

Experience working from a trauma informed lens

Experience with facilitating groups

Experience with providing virtual care

Experience working in the private sector, a start-up, or technology company
