National manufacturer has an industry leading product that is in steady demand. This is a highly visible position in a fast-paced, customer-oriented facility. Youll manage a team of 10 in the purchasing department and interact extensively with Scheduling, Warehouse, Production & Quality teams. Your team will be responsible for getting the best quality commodities & products for the best prices and to the plant on time. Awesome opportunity to grow your career!

As the Sourcing Manager, youll provide direction and leadership for all purchasing activities including:

• Maintain & improve inventory levels to prevent outages and maximize turnover


• Manage material sourcing, supplier performance, address quality issues


• Coach, teach, & mentor buyers regarding policies, procedures, training


• Monitor Purchasing Department KPIs & implement correction as needed


• Redevelop relationships with vendors; identify new vendors


• Develop long-term pricing agreements.

Minimum requirements for this Sourcing Manger position:

• BS degree in business or related discipline


• At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in purchasing role in a manufacturing facility


• Adept at using ERP, MRP, MS Office & Excel


• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, purchasing principles and ethics


• Certification would be a plus: APP, CPM, or CPSM.
