Pay: $16-$18/hr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM

Job Description:

Material handlers work together as a team and individually to meet or exceed company quality standards, time standards, and schedule requirements.

Material Handler Responsibilities: This job requires the individual to work with and around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, power equipment, automated equipment and other hazardous processes which requires this job to be classified a SAFETY SENSITIVE position.  Load and unload materials and merchandise from trucks. Pack the material appropriately before loading.  Locate raw material and packed products.  Follow instructions to understand material moving orders.  Operate industrial trucks and electric hoists to handle material moving and loading. Operate forklifts to ensure easy movement of materials. Productivity level must consistently equal the Company’s established productivity requirements, as defined by work instructions. Workmanship must meet the Company’s quality standards. Follow safety policies and procedures. Sustain 5’s requirements.

Skills: Must demonstrate the desire to perform in a professional manner as a member of a team and give inputs on activities that will help complete project assignments in a timely and efficient manner while upholding the safety and quality standards.  Pass a forklift training class.  Able to read and write basic shop communications. Able to use shop tape measure. Basic Fabrication shop experience.
