Ottos Ottawa is the National Capital Regions premier automotive group, comprised of Otto's BMW, Canada's original BMW dealer; Ottos Subaru, Canadas #1 leader in Subaru sales, service and parts; and Ottos Collision Centre, the BMW flagship centre for Eastern Canada. We are looking to add a qualified Assistant Parts Manager with a minimum of 4 years experience in Parts Department of a BMW or other German manufacturer dealership and a minimum of 2 years experience in a management position. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Parts Manager in the effective operation of the parts department and the candidate shall have automotive parts experience, vendor experience, and the ability to excel in a high-volume, luxury brand dealership.

General Responsibilities:

Assist Parts Manager in the effective daily operation of the parts department to maximize sales, profits and customer service
Enjoy creating a superior customer service experience to achieve maximum market penetration, drive store growth, increase sales and profitability
Know how to provide daily leadership and create and sustain a culture of employee engagement
Know the importance of partnering with your teammates in order to drive company owned store initiatives
Train, motivate and mentor the performance of parts department staff
Provide good communication and interaction within departments.
Ensure professional, timely communication to all customers
Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures
Perform any other functions as required by the Parts Manager

Requirements:

Strong people management and leadership skills, be motivational, supportive, assertive and decisive
Ability to Supervise department staff
Experience with Parts management software.
Reynolds and Reynolds knowledge is a plus
BMW Software (ETK/EPC, SGATE) knowledge is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of understanding of the inventory levels, parts turnover, and budget benchmarks
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge and understanding of the overall functioning of the Parts department and the day-to-day operations of the parts department
Effective communication skills in both verbal and written
Great attitude with a high-energy personality
Mechanical knowledge/aptitude and the ability to convey technical information to customers when providing service
Self-starter and self-motivated
Ability to work well with others
