Sales Associate - Part Time

All applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

Must be able to work week day evenings and weekends and HOLIDAYS

1. Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. Will be required to stock shelves, stock beer cooler, assist customers, run cash register and clean store.

2. Oasis Liquors, a family owned and operated successful retail liquor store is seeking an energetic, honest, self-motivated and reliable Sales Associate to join our team. Applicants must possess excellence customer service skills and basic knowledge of wine, beer and liquor. Previous retail and/or customer service experience is a plus. Duties will include but not limited to; building and maintaining customer relationships, providing exceptional customer service, cashiering, stocking shelves, receiving product, maintaining a neat, clean, organized store, which includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and straightening of merchandise, and perform any related work as assigned. Must be capable of lifting up to 80 pounds. Able to effectively operate a computerized cash register.

3. We are looking for a Sales Associate to create and maintain an exceptional store experience for customers visiting the store. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and to make recommendations. We rely on you to maintain a clean and customer friendly environment, stock and merchandise products, and operate the register. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date on our selection and maintain our stores visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the stores sales goals.

Responsibilities

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on products
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked condition in assigned areas
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Check in merchandise deliveries from vendors
- Perform all regular cleaning activities
- Comply with inventory control procedures

Skills
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Proficiency in English; Proficiency in a second language would be a plus
Basic Math skills

4. Responsibilities:

Greet customers.
Help customers find items they are seeking
Accurately run a cash register.
Stock merchandise.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and physically be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, carry, walk and reach on a frequent basis.
Must have the ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving around the store.
Must be able to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
Must have effective verbal communication skills, basic math, and reading skills.
Must be flexible, work nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be punctual.
Must be able to deliver the highest level of customer service.
Previous retail experience is a plus as is previous liquor store experience.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check at the local and national level without felonies or misdemeanors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
