"Data Scientist"

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly managing a team of data scientists and collaborating with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and data analysts
• Responsible for attracting, recruiting and growing data science and engineering talent within the team.
• Provides technical and thought leadership to the team ensuring that they apply the latest Data Science, ML and AI techniques and industry best practices to enable the most strategic business priorities.
• Understand and consider the ML platform architecture and the impact of design decisions may have on analysis quality and timeliness to serve business needs
• Focuses on developing and deploying ML models for various business segment needs empowering partner D&T teams along with other Data Scientists and Analysts.
• Develops best practices and guidelines for advanced analytics across the business acting as an enabler to accelerate the development of insights.
• Provide statistical guidance for robust data analysis, experimentation and opportunity identification.
• Maintains professional contacts with other organizations, research institutions, service providers, and software. Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the area.
• Directs the continuing review of present systems and methods, as well as the formulation of new and revised systems; determines appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
• Plans, implements, and controls multiple digital & technology projects. Ensures that project plans are executed within cost and time constraints. Reports project performance and status to upper management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business Administration, Applied Mathematics or Statistics, or closely related field. Masters/PhD preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in data and analytics with progressively increasing responsibility including 3+ years managing a team in a dynamic environment
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in solving complex business problems using data science, statistical techniques and machine learning to build predictive and prescriptive solutions to deliver measurable business impact
• Deep understanding of statistical methods and robust inference
• Ability to draw insights and conclusions from data to inform experiment design and business decisions through rigorous analysis and meta-analysis
• Desire to collaborate with other product managers, data scientists, data analysts, and key business partners
• Experience developing both machine learning and descriptive algorithms/modeling using languages as Python, R etc.
• 4+ years of experience with diverse structured and unstructured data sets on relational SQL, NOSQL databases
• 5+ years of experience with one or more of Enterprise Visualization Tools: Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, macros, PowerPivots, advanced functions
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and/or GCP and familiarity with their AI/ML services
