Job Description
- Role: Mainframe / COBOL Developer
- Location : NC, NH, or TX Locals
- Duration: 4+Months Contract
Job Description:
- COBOL Mainframe Experience
- Read existing report scripts in COBOL & understand source of data
- Writing system requirements & supporting documentation - Diagram Business processes & workflows
- Experience working with stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- In this role, the Mainframe/Cobol Developer will analyze and detail existing COBOL mainframe reports with the goal of converting to existing or new relational database sources
- Read existing COBOL report scripts to understand and document the sources of data, transformations and or calculations, and dependencies
- Work with both system and business owners of existing mainframe reports to understand and document current use and audience of the reports
- The Mainframe/Cobol Developer will partner with relational database analysts and developers to identify new source data
