Our client company is seeking an experienced engineer to support the automated and manual assembly equipment in the production of high quality automotive components
You must be willing to:
Create specifications/recommendations/designs for tools/fixtures/gages/equipment/processes
Help troubleshoot/improve equipment issues
Specify gaging techniques
Coordinate quality improvements within assembly
Provide technical guidance/training to the assembly team
Control budget/costs of assembly methods
Develop layout/material flow plans
Evaluate/update documents according to Process Change Requests
Assist with APQP documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans)
Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years experience in assembly/manufacturing environment (automotive/metalworking/related)
Experience with Torque/Press/Gaging equipment
Experience with Error Proofing/Poka Yoke methods
Understanding of programming automated systems
Skilled in CAD with AutoCad/Pro-Engineer experience
