Bond Administration team is responsible for assisting with work and projects related to the bond administration of all mortgage backed securities. This includes calculating monthly payments & disclosure data, communicating with paying agents, authorizing payments, and investor tax reporting.
The team is seeking a Securities Operations Associate to perform and review for accuracy the monthly baseline processes and participate in special research & analysis projects, including: support change management activities, operational process, and related improvements. This position will expose the incumbent to numerous processes and functions. Required Skills:Communicate with internal business partners to resolve issues
Perform monthly processes to validate & reconcile MBS principal & interest payments
Review exceptions reports related to payment & disclosure processes
Follow and maintain detailed procedures using varied and complex systems and databases
Participate in system development projects and provide subject matter expertise
Respond to inquiries from MBS investors
Assist with project management work for new initiatives
Assist associate team members when issues arise
Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel
Ability to work in a team & collaborate to find solutions to complex problems
Ability to manage time effectively and thrive in environment with multiple deadlines
Strong communication and analytical skills
Be adaptable to change
Ability to understand upstream and downstream business stakeholders and impacts to their processes
Ability to manage relationships with internal and external business partners
