This summer has yet again shown the urgency of decarbonizing our planet. We must act now to reduce global emissions. At Vargas, we are set out to provide renewable energy solutions to European households and cut the dependency on oil and gas. Heating alone represents some 15% of EUs CO2 emissions and switching to a sustainable energy solution is by far the easiest way for a household to make real impact.

Vargas is an impact company builder that challenges old truths and conventional ways of working. It is our conviction that commercial solutions are a must for combatting the climate crisis. To identify and scale these solutions, we think big. We target hard-to-abate industries. And by putting innovation, technology, and capital to work, we build pioneering companies that accelerate decarbonization. This is an opportunity to do something meaningful with your time. We are now starting our next venture, which will provide renewable energy solutions directly to consumers across Europe. The venture is still in stealth mode, but like all our ventures it has an ambitious scale.

About the role

We are expanding our product & development department which is focused on hardware & embedded software.

We are looking for somebody who will help us manage, grow & build our laboratory team, who are responsible for verifying our products.

By joining early you will influence ways of working, technology choices and you will play a major role in shaping our product.

What we would like you to have

Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have:

• Experience from working with product development, especially testing
  
• Background from working as a manager is meriting but not a must
• Strong analytical & organizational skills
• Open mind set & enjoy working in a start-up environment with high ambition to scale fast. You will be a part of creating and setting the foundation for both the product and the team culture.
