Tasks

We are looking for an experienced freelance UI designer to help in the design and shaping of the next generation of our digital platform delivering for the German home building market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record executing freelance projects and working in an agile development environment. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.

• Shape and drive Neuraum s user experience through your leadership in visual design
• Play a critical role in creating useful, simple, and elegant user flows and designs
• Translate ideas into cross-platform designs using effective design patterns
• Take ownership & lead of the development of our design system & language
• Work within scrum/kanban environments with agile process flows
• Continually keep yourself up-to-date with the latest changes in your industry s standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience delivering responsive designs that delight customers
• Extensive experience with key design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe creative suite
• Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript
• Know that empathy is key to great design and integrate research insights into your work
• Love working with a motivated team towards accomplishing a shared vision
• Eager to grow, keeping up-to-date on UI best practices, design outcomes, and processes
• Communicate concepts clearly with the support of your experience and research
• Appreciate the value of a strong culture and enjoy contributing into it in your own way
• Ability to support us with an expected average of 2 days / week over a longer period
• Ability to write and speak fluent business English is a must, German is a bonus
