Hours: 20 hours/week
Desired starting date: immediately
Duration: at least 1 year (you must be enrolled for at least one more year at a recognised higher education institution and we ask you to indicate this when you apply)

We are a diverse, multicultural and cordial group of data engineers mainly responsible for the company's core data. We build ETLs, do data modeling and create tools that simplify our work. We work closely with data analysts, data scientists and product managers.

How your role will look like:

• Collaborate with colleagues to promote data analytics awareness across the company and create educational content to share data insights and best practices.
• Open-mindedness & keenness to learn new technologies & skills from cross-functional data engineering & machine learning teams.
• For MicroStrategy (BI Tool) and Alation (Data Catalog) tools deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure as a code in AWS.
• Troubleshoot, trace, and improve dashboards, reports, and performance-tune if needed.
• Build and maintain ETL processes in our data lake.

What you need to succeed:

• Ability to work agile while supporting your colleagues
• Motivation to question the status quo.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of Linux, Python/Scala.
• Provide training, consulting, and coaching on the optimal BI Tool and Data Catalogue.
• Interest in building and optimizing ETLs.
• Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Effective communication in English.
