SENIOR SITE-RELIABILITY ENGINEER / DEVOPS

HYBRID ROLE FOR NYC: 2 POSITIONS

NEED CANDIDATES LOCALS TO NY-NJ-PA-CT-VA

PAY RATE : $80-90/HR ON C2C

9 Months Contract

TASKS:

Direct experience with design and building data processing applications (close to real-time and batch-based)

Direct experience working with third-party clients and client engagements

Developing and maintaining our data pipeline using Apache Beam, Java, Python and other data processing technologies

Familiarity with all three major clouds - Azure, AWS, and GCP

Experience working and integration with Cloud SaaS services and Cloud APIs

Identifying and implementing performance improvements across all data pipelines

Engaging with data consumers and producers in order to design appropriate models to suit all needs

Maintaining information exchanges through publish, subscribe, and alert functions that enable users to send and receive critical information as required

Supporting incident management, service-level management, change management, release management, continuity management, and availability management for databases and data management systems

Administering databases and/or data management systems that allow for the secure storage, query, protection, and utilization of data

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

At least 12 years' experience analyzing large, high velocity, heterogeneous datasets

At least 12 years of professional experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages; preferably java or python

Familiarity with Unix scripting, web development, and automated testing

At least 12 years of relational database design and SQL scripting

Experience working with Hashi Corp Terraform

Experience with 24/7/365 SRE support

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Experience with the Agile Development Methodology

Familiarity with the CI/CD process

Familiarity with or exposure to cloud application development

Familiarity with distributed data processing framework

Proficiency with software development tools such as IDE, debuggers, source code control (e.g., GitHub), JIRA, and other productivity tools
