As Data-Acquisition Engineer you will be responsible for our data acquisition and recording setups. These setups produce the data that fuel our deep-learning algorithms and enable our software to excel at complex image analysis tasks.

Tasks

• Create, improve, implement and maintain recording and measurement setups in cars and our laboratory.
• Closely collaborate with suppliers of cameras, camera drivers, and electronic components to create working prototypes.
• Develop mechanical and electrical prototypes.
• Support and contribute to the development of our data-acquisition software.
• Onboard and train our team of data acquisition specialists and ensure high data quality.
• Organize our laboratory and workshop.
• Enthusiastically solve problems, design, improve, and document our acquisition processes and tools.
• Collaborate with the AI team and project managers about their data acquisition needs.
• Communicate effectively across the organization make yourself understood by everyone from the acquisition specialists to the CEO.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Automotive Engineering, or a related field;
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
• Practical experience with creating mechanical and electrical prototypes;
• Strong engineering skills; experience in computer-aided design and motion capturing technology is a plus;
• Driving skills;
• Excellent communication skills in English;
• German residency or existing working permit for Germany is essential.
