Operations Manager for E-Scooter sharing 3rd party logistics, Augsburg (Germany)

Ukemix is expanding and is therefore looking for an Operations Manager for the new location in Augsburg. A lateral entry from other industries is possible.

Starting from July 2022 (full-time fixed-term contract for 5 months, negotiable for 2023).

It is possible to start working immediately in Munich as a normal employee and change the location to Augsburg in the summer.

Ukemix GmbH provides logistics services for E-Scooter sharing companies. Their objective is to ensure the availability of E-Scooters around the clock by monitoring the battery levels and optimal drop-off points of the E-Scooters. In addition, they maintain the fleet to keep it operational. Ukemix has a strong knowledge of logistics in the E-Scooter sharing business, as they have provided services for some of the biggest operators in the industry for multiple years.

Tasks

As the Operations Manager, you have overall day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the unit. It is also the responsibility of the manager to take care of the well-being and success of the employees. Because the job is on a shift basis, the manager needs to carry out operative work at least 75% of the work time. The work is thus led by example.

As a manager the work includes duties such as:

• instructing new team members
• work time planning
• reporting of team performance
• coordination of purchase invoices.

The operative work includes driving a van while collecting and transporting E-scooters. Inaddition, the work includes various storage tasks. Therefore, experience in using tools and repairing cars in considered an advantage but is not required.

Working days are on weekdays and weekends, shifts are made in three shifts around the clock.

Requirements

So how can you become a part of the team? The job doesn t require previous experience as a
manager. Instead, you need to:

• be able to manage the big picture of the operations
• commit to handling the tasks in a mutually agreed way
• be brave and autonomous, since you will manage independently
• have flexibility, a good attitude, and desire to develop your expertise
• have proficiency in English
• have a B-class driving license

We expect you to be able to work independently, with an active attitude, and vehicle handling skills. Work is physical at times, so hopefully you don t mind it. The German language is considered as an advantage.
