Senior Researcher and/or Medical Engineer (m/f/x)

Full-time Position (Part-time possible)

European Biostaisis Foundation is dedicated to translational and applied research in the areas of biostasis. We are based in Basel, Switzerland with a just-opened state-of-the-art research institute close to Zurich and focus on state-of-the-art technology and medical practice.

Tasks

• Join the core team as the of the first employees - work directly with the founders and the Board.
• Take A to Z responsibility for research at our newly built facility in Rafz, Switzerland (close to Zurich). From setting up the lab, designing projects, conducting research to implementing what we learned into day-to-day cryopreservation practice.
• You will start our intramural research project, initially, we will focus on applied and translational research as well as engineering projects. Basic research will come later.
• Deep dive and take responsibility in a wide range of topics
• Be actively involved in a lot of different topics and projects

Requirements

• Relevant experience in Cryobiology, Practical cryopreservation/cryonics, Medical Engineering, or similar.
• Strong(!!) intrinsic motivation for biostasis and human cryopreservation
• Out of box thinking, creative, result-driven, and very open mindset
• Pronounced hands-on mentality, your day to day will include a wide(!) range of projects
• Experience with leadership roles, being a team lead
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent English language skills. German is a plus
• Willingness to relocate to or close to Rafz, Switzerland (we help with all the details
