Job Description

MKTG is looking for an experienced retail trainer, for a new role based in Germany. This is a unique opportunity to work for one of the fastest growing sports streaming companies in the world. To become part of changing how fans watch sport forever, for a cutting edge, fast paced sports OTT company!

The Trainer will deliver training in German and will be the face of the brand for partner staff. They will engage, excite and educate retail staff on a growing portfolio of sports content. This is a highly influential, fast-paced training role.

The Trainer will be responsible for delivery of inspirational, live virtual product training sessions. They will be involved in the full delivery of training, from launch to the ongoing sustain phase. They will excel at delivering engaging training for small, medium and larger audiences.

The in-market training team is supported and managed by an executive team with extensive experience in training, carrier programs, global events production, and sales support, based in the UK and the US.

They no longer need cables or satellite dishes to watch sports, they can simply download the app and watch on multiple devices at home or on the go.

Tasks

The successful applicant will be:

This is a part-time, flexible role (approximately 18-20 hours per week).

The focus will be to grow brand advocacy and sales for selected partners in the German market. The Trainer will be responsible for driving sales through a deep understanding of each partner. The Trainer will develop genuine long-lasting relationships, with both the partners and the local brand team, ensuring the partnership is a success.

They will help guide and build training plans. Although the focus is primarily virtual training to begin with, this may move to F2F in stores once Covid restrictions allow. Training could include follow up training, train the trainer events, hosting training at regional managers meetings, and inspiring store level staff with drop in visits.

You will work across various time zones (including UK & US), showing flexibility, efficiency and the ability to work under pressure. Fluency in English and German is essential.

Requirements

  • Responsible for planning / execution of partner training across Germany
  • Confident training senior staff and carrier trainers/product specialists in groups of 20-150 people in virtual training scenarios
  • Able to deliver best in class, innovative digital training, with support from our production and content teams
  • Able to work with the Program Lead and Training Director, tailoring each training session to the pre-agreed carrier requirements, and training platform, such as staff meetings, call centers, or events
  • Responsible for increasing carrier s customer sign ups to the sports streaming service through industry leading training
  • Build and maintain relationships with a defined list of retail partners in home markets to trial store training techniques, and report back on the success and efficiencies
  • Technical knowledge to plan and run virtual training sessions from own home to a high production specification
  • Collect, report and analyse feedback from training sessions, using reporting tools to create daily and weekly reports that can be shared with the internal team
  • Communicate the brand s sales and marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for the relationship with partner and local brand team
  • Attend regional training events to stay up-to-date on full product line knowledge
  • Represent the brand with the highest level of professionalism, expertise and enthusiasm
  • Some travel to the UK and within Germany may be required (for team summits and meetings) once travel restrictions are lifted

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRMENTS

  • Fluent in English and German is essential (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of experience in retail/training preferably with a training and development background
  • A passion for sports, and streaming services
  • Outgoing and engaging personality you can (and enjoy) talking to anyone
  • Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to put together project plans
  • Passion for new technology products and services, and comfortable with describing key USP s of the service
  • Experience within a mobile carrier is of interest
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to manage shifting priorities as projects evolve
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, email and online productivity tools
  • Some travel in line with business needs (Post Covid)
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, and/or other relevant areas desirable but not essential
