Job Title: IT Infrastructure Technician
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Washington, WV (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Work Hours: 7am - 3:30pm

Client Maintenance
-
Provide client support for all network enabled hardware and software. This includes troubleshooting incidents, problems, installation, and basic training on hardware and application packages.

Assure the installation of virus protection and advanced malware protection software

Adhere to the security directives for enterprise mobility and removable media
-
Verify installed client hardware is using the latest approved version of software or firmware

Server Maintenance
-
Maintain onsite servers along with their associated operating systems and applications where permissible.
-
Perform system backups and recovery operations including administering the backup policy
-
Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications and operating systems where permissible
-
Assure all network data is backed up daily.

Ensure proper configuration of automated update applications.

Server Application/Hardware troubleshooting
-
Ensure network connectivity of all servers, telephony equipment and other network appliances.
-
Troubleshooting Microsoft server operation system incidents and problems.
-
Troubleshooting third party server applications
-
Troubleshooting network equipment (Routers, Switches, WAN optimizers, etc.)
-
Quickly replacing server necessary parts such as the hard drive, memory and power supply in order to have the server back up and running.

LAN Network Design and Maintenance
-
Assist in designing, deploying and testing of company LANs, wireless and voice networks.

Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards
-
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports

Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
-
Design and perform server system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity.

Client Application/ Hardware Troubleshooting
-
Ensure network connectivity of all workstations, VoIP phones, smartphones, handhelds, various types of printers and multi-function equipment.

Troubleshooting Microsoft client operating system reported incidents

Troubleshooting Microsoft Office related reported incidents
-
Quickly getting replaced any necessary parts such as the hard drive, memory and power supply in order to have the user back up and running by working with third party vendors.

Provide assistance with using the VoIP system and if necessary contact vendor to remedy situation.

Network Maintenance

Examine and clear all non-essential logs from each server.
-
Add, change or remove users to the Active Directory hierarchy.
