Under immediate supervision, assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assist in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Staffed by beginners who have had sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify them to start in application systems analysis and programming.
Helps to ensure all user requests are received in writing, properly evaluated and responded to a timely manner.
Participates in review meetings with user committee(s) to assist in establishing Project priorities
Guarantees efficient and effective completion of project assignments in accordance with standard procedures
Conducts minimal training when applicable
Plans own work effort based on one's own work tasks
Assists in the revolution of issues regarding projects being worked on
Accurate and timely recording of time against tasks assigned
Possesses good listening and verbal skills
Able to work as a team member
Produces accurate and complete work
Meets minimum department productivity standards
Understands customers' needs and expectations
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in Microsoft Office, databases, Software Development packages, programming languages, SQR, Crystal, Unix and AIX. Experience in an educational background should have Information Systems or Business-Related internships or Part-time employment experiences. Two years' work experience with IS Technology preferred. Health care industry experience preferred
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related job field preferred.
