Structural Engineer

An established multi-disciplined firm is looking to add a SeniorStructural Engineerto their Portland, Oregon team! This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule to split time between the office and working from home.

• Responsible for leading design of structural systems for buildings
  
• Design for a variety of sectors (Higher Education, K-12, Arts & Culture, Justice/Civic, Retail, Hospitality and Energy)
  
• Lead team to complete/produce high quality construction documents
  
• Manage project schedules and meet deliverable requirements
  
• Collaborate with other disciplines to create superior designs
  
• Prepare detailed structural engineering drawings/calculations (including code research)
  
• Write/review specifications
  
• Review shop drawings/RFIs/submittals
  
• Conduct site visits as needed
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  

• Master s degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
  
• 8+ years of building structural engineering experience
  
• Experience is design of concrete, masonry, steel, wood materials, gravity and lateral systems
  
• SE License
  
• Working knowledge of structural software including ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc
  
• Experience with Autodesk Revit workflow
  
• Knowledge of commercial building materials, systems and assemblies
  
• Experience with sustainable building design preferred
