Job Description

Our Client, a UK award-winning children s newspaper, has an education division, that provides a portfolio of digital and print products to help schools build news-reading communities and develop core literacy skills through a foundation of global news. The products include the weekly newspaper and a suite of educational learning tools to drive reading, writing, and speaking skills in primary and secondary schools in the UK and around the world. The Senior Marketing Executive will join the Education Marketing Team, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Customer Success, and working alongside a small team of other marketers and a Customer Success Executive.


Purpose of the role:

Our Client is looking for a highly ambitious, self-motivated Senior Marketing Executive with a minimum of 3 years experience. Requirements

Marketing Campaigns and Education Website

Assist with checking and regularly updating the Our Clients Education website with information and new content, to drive lead capture and grow customer engagement.

Work with the rest of the marketing team to build email campaigns to drive data capture and create new opportunities for Customer Success.

Liaise with third party data suppliers, working to deadlines and conducting thorough sign-off processes.

Create campaign landing pages on the website, split testing where appropriate.

Ensure digital marketing comms are effectively tracked through Google Analytics.

Ensure marketing assets are consistent in style and copy has a clear and impactful tone of voice.

Provide support to deliver third-party partnerships successfully and on time.

Engagement, Upgrades and Retention Marketing

Responsible for the production and development of emails to increase engagement and revenue generated by using segmentation techniques to produce timely and relevant communications.

Supporting teammates to segment and profile customer database to improve marketing results, retention, and ROI for all marketing activities.

Supporting the Head of Marketing and Senior CRM Executive to produce behavioural emails to help drive company targets.

Supporting the team to implement continuous refinement/optimisation of automated journeys.

Monitor the success of all email communications through testing and reporting, making recommendations of improvements.

Marketing Research

Analysis of customer data in HubSpot to provide accurate customer profiling and insights.

Present analysis and insights in clear reports including conclusions and recommendations.

Share insights and findings with key members of the business.

Conduct competitor research and threat analysis.

Social Media

Help with growing audiences across Social Media channels - building brand awareness and increasing customer engagement.

Work on ongoing optimisation of all social media activity.

Investigate opportunities with influencers and work with Head of Marketing to execute.

Assist with providing content for Our Clients Education to drive engagement and traffic to the website as part of our content marketing strategy.


Digital Marketing

Providing support to the digital marketing agency in running paid search and social campaigns, helping with analysing results and recommending changes to improve performance of the strategy.

Project managing website architecture changes recommended by the digital marketing agency and support with briefing the Clients digital development team.

Customer Success Support

  • Work with Customer Success Executive, Senior CRM Executive and Head of Marketing to create new ideas to engage prospects and customers, such as webinars, video demos, tutorials etc.
  • During busy times, support Customer Success Executive in responding to email queries.
  • Be willing to conduct ad hoc calls to customers or prospects, to support special events or projects.

Person specification:
Essential

Minimum 3-years experience working in a similar role

Experience of producing and reporting on email campaigns

Experience of using a CRM system

Strong skills and experience managing customer data

Strong analytical skills to allow for informed data driven decisions

Experience in managing social media channels

Excellent communication skills with a creative flair; written and verbal

A real passion for all digital marketing and new technologies

Excellent time management skills with strong ability to multi-task and work across multiple activities and campaigns

Highly motivated, enthusiastic demonstrating initiative and creativity

Passionate about Our Clients business and the opportunity to grow and expand into new markets

The professional and personal desire to succeed

Have an excellent command of written English, a sharp eye for detail with excellent attention to detail

Desired but not essential:
