Manage professional relationships with external consultants, global benefits broker, vendors, and auditors.
Work on all renewal processes and serve as a liaison between employees and third-party providers to resolve vendor issues and claims.
Analyze utilization and claims data for trends/issues, and recommend process improvements and/or plan design changes.
Manage open enrollment process, in conjunction with global benefits broker, including HRIS set-up and testing, open enrollment communications and training, and audit of open enrollment data in multiple vendor systems.
Liaise with global benefits broker and carriers to ensure all new starters are registered for their chosen benefits and handle any change requests thereafter and issues.
Work closely with global benefits broker and plan carriers to oversee retirement plans ensuring compliance related to required communications, employee participation, year-end discrimination testing, match allocation, and annual plan audit.
Ensure smooth coordination between broker and retirement plan vendors.
Monitor effectiveness of existing benefits policies, guidelines and procedures.
In conjunction with global benefits broker (third party), recommend plan revision(s) as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with benefits trends and corporate objectives.
Provide training and support to the Employee Relations & Compliance (ER&C) Partners responsible for the day-to-day inquiries from employees.
Directly responsible for resolution of complex benefit issues and escalations.
Ensure accuracy and annual updating of benefit orientation and benefits related recruiting materials.
Partner with Finance on benefits costing and savings opportunities.
Manage the benefits of integrations of all new acquisitions.
Ensure HRIS set-up and file feeds are timely, accurate and create great experiences and efficiencies.
Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources or Business-related field; or equivalent experience 6-8 years experience managing US, Canada and Global benefits; Minimum 3 years of RFP and vendor management experience Working knowledge of ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA regulations for US and applicable global regulations Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills; along with experience using Excel and PowerPoint required Experience with different HR technologies and having the knowledge base to make recommendations for appropriate HR enabling technologies Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the bigger picture Expertise in formatting and presenting data, conclusions and proposals required People-centric professional ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and sound business judgment and to represent the organization in a positive manner at all times Strong oral and written English communication skills
