A cornerstone of this roadmap is the acceleration of its data transformation and of the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions, to accelerate R&D, manufacturing and commercial performance and bring better drugs and vaccines to patients faster, to improve health and save lives.
Who You Are:
You are a dynamic leader, looking to manage a large program for a key data pillar. You re interested in ensuring that strategy meets execution, leading teams that implement data and AI products on scalable technology platforms. Your role includes adopting the global PMO standards within your team, ensuring you re resourced to execute on the data team operating model, program management (leading important and highly visible programs in white spaces as well as providing oversight for selected program areas), project definition and support delivery of quality work.
In your role, you will be reporting directly into the VP of Data Engineering, Architecture and Governance, managing data centric programs within its perimeter overseeing $50M+ budgets annually. Such programs include establishing data mesh architectures and automation, executing on enterprise data governance, implementing master data management solutions and deliver on reusable components.
You will work closely with multiple transversal teams in Data (across foundational data platforms, business-facing AI products, and data portfolio management), Digital (infrastructure, cloud, security, Agile) and key business stakeholders. You will have direct people management responsibilities and accountabilities for a team of project managers, scrum masters and analysts, with opportunities to shape your team at your discretion. As many projects are executed through third-party partner and/or vendor organizations, a strong multi-party engagement to maintain budget, resourcing and schedule comes natural for you.
Job Highlights:
Facilitate, manage and implement the design of the program portfolio within your assigned perimeter
Act as an in-house consulting capability, responsible for re-alignment and support of major programs
Ensure your programs adopt digital wide and data team standards for product management, agile adoption and portfolio management
Work with product owners to identify mechanisms to modularize data transformation, analytic, or AI components and scale products to different GBUs and functional areas in a standardized, expedited manner
Leverage and engage resources across the organization to ensure team priorities are delivered
Manage the run business operations for the team s portfolio, including integration with Finance, Procurement and other corporate functions
Drive the definition of your team s roadmap seeing that it is well defined, budgeted, resourced, and aligned with the evolving priorities of the organization, connecting the dots between various projects, programs and people at Sanofi
Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications:
Demonstrated data and analytics / management consulting experience preferred
Strategic thinker with the ability to act as a translator between data and analytics and the business, ensuring business value is achieved through data and AI products
Demonstrated techno functional data capabilities (e.g. data engineering, data architecture, master data management, data lake/warehouse)
Product management skillsets
Ability to lead and manage agile teams
Experience working cross-functionally in large organizations on a global scale to solve complex problems and treat large amounts of information
Relationship-oriented with the ability to communicate meaningfully and influence all levels of stakeholders
Storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical jargon and concepts into something simple, accurate and understandable
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in autonomy with limited guidelines
Effective written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor s/Master s/PhD in business, or STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) preferred or equivalent experience
8+ years of relevant experience preferred
Demonstrated strategy and transformation / implementation of large-scale programs
Certified PMP, ASM-Agile Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master/Product Owner (CSM, CSPO, SAFe) preferred
Technical knowledge of software application development and agile methodologies
Understanding and application of data / digital strategy and governance
Understanding of software development processes and procedures
Understanding of change management and release processes
Experience in using agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc. preferred
