Job Description

This is a remote position.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Cannabis Clinic Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of the client's virtual medical cannabis clinic and marketplace.

As the Director of Cannabis Clinic Operations, you will be responsible for the overall operations of the clinic and marketplace, implementing the company s strategic growth plan and managing the patient advisor team. The successful candidate will be a results-driven, team player, have a thorough understanding of cannabis clinic and marketplace operations, and experience working with medical cannabis patients. The incumbent will possess strong leadership skills and a well-develop business acumen to manage relationships with licensed producers, clinics, and patients.

The cornerstone of this role is to enhance the quality of patient care and develop growth opportunities in accordance with the company s objectives and policies, through planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the services provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the department, including people management, performance management, budgeting, reporting, business planning, etc. Providing regular updates to the senior leadership team.
  • Develop and implement operational and financial objectives and KPIs for clinic and marketplace operations by defining and evolving existing plans.
  • Evaluating and developing new clinical program opportunities and growth opportunities through associated financial models and business cases.
  • Utilize available internal and external data analytics to develop effectiveness of programs.
  • Foster a team environment that sets high standards for operations and performance, engages, and inspires other to perform at their best.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to through regular process review, inspection and working closely with patient advisors, nurse practitioners and psychiatrists.
  • Evaluating and incorporating relevant healthcare trends into our care model from an education, knowledge, and program perspective.
  • Represent clinic operations on client-facing and patient issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience including strategic planning and execution of healthcare solutions, healthcare programs and leading teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to plan, prioritize and consistently exceed targets and expectations.
  • Proven experience in building a successful medical cannabis clinic and marketplace that creates value for an organization.
  • University degree in Healthcare/Business/Strategy Development.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly.
  • Strong team leadership skills with 3+ years of management experience leading clinic teams.
  • Clear passion for and solid understanding of cannabis and cannabis-based products.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced highly regulated environment and demonstrate the ability to adapt to business demands and exceed KPI targets.
  • Must have proficiency using MS Office Suite, MS Teams would be an asset, and ability to leverage tools supporting the clinic and marketplace functions.
