Job Description

Modern Mill Solar is growing again and adding a Sales Manager to lead our residential solar field sales team, inside sales, appointment schedulers, and direct marketing vendors. Formally hire, train, manage, motivate, and coach sales and support team members and align marketing campaigns that drive business results. Possesses a strong background in direct sales, leadership activities, and company innovation. We look to this position to help advance our company and create a competitive edge that consistently sets us apart from others in the solar power industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develops weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Creates exciting and motivational incentive programs to drive results and desired team behaviors.
  • Leads district hiring and training, as well as coaching for peak performance.
  • Works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to be self-motivated and coach and train others.
  • Builds rapport with prospective customers and serves as a role model for others.
  • Delivers accurate and compelling data about the solar industry and our products and services.
  • Oversees customer acquisition in a defined market region or set of regions.
  • Assesses the economic viability of project proposals and propose ways to increase project revenue streams or reduce costs.
  • Interfaces closely with other departments for coordination, delivery, and optimization of the customer experience.
  • Tracks and evaluates emerging regulatory rulings and assesses the potential for market creation.
  • Provides senior management with regular updates and sales pipeline, forecasting, and progress.
  • Manages incoming leads and sales pipeline to assess opportunities quickly and efficiently.
  • Evaluates customer savings propositions by analyzing energy data and utility rates.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Five years of demonstrated sales management experience required.
  • Ideal candidates will have four years sales experience in solar, windows and doors, roofing, HVAC, other home improvement, or maybe car sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the company for growth and success is required.
  • Kitchen table sales high preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be organized and have strong attention to detail with superior accuracy.
  • Must have a valid driver s license and be deemed insurance with a good driving record.

Requirements & Physical Abilities The following abilities are needed to be able to fulfill your general duties listed above: At least 3 years of professional electrical experience Basic knowledge of NEC code preferred, but not required Overnight stays may be required for occasional jobs Basic knowledge of electrical material and equipment Proficient with hand and power tools Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance Perform work on uneven and wet surfaces Work in extreme weather conditions Ability to walk, stand, and bend for long periods of time Ability to use your hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner Must have and maintain a valid driver s license with clean driving record Must have reliable transportation to and from the office (company vehicle will be provided from office to job sites)
