Job Description

Full time nanny required to care for a three-year-old girl born in September 2019. The position will be Monday - Friday 11 - 7pm term time and 8am - 7pm during holidays.This is average of 44.5 hrs per week, over the year and pays 20 per hour.
This is a live out position. The family home is currently in Chelsea but will change to Bedford Park in Chiswick W4 in January.
The little girl goes to nursery Monday to Fridays from 9am (mother will do the drop off) and finishes either at 12noon or 2pm. The nursery is in South Kensington, and she will remain there until she starts prep school in September 2024.
The nanny will pick the girl up from nursery either by car or using public transport, therefore a confident driver would be useful. The girl is lively, loving and curious, in addition to nursery she attends weekly ballet classes and German language school which the nanny will have to take her to.
The girl loves being outdoors playing at the local playgrounds or going to museums and to playdates, which we would expect the nanny to arrange as well as attend, if organised by the mother. Furthermore, the little girl loves books, arts and crafts and has a zest for learning and exploring the world around her.
The family is looking for a nanny who is active, who likes being outdoors no matter the weather and has an interest in creating new games and challenges for the girl. It is equally important that the nanny is kind, loving and warm, the little girl loves cuddles and seeks physical contact frequently.
The nanny is expected to prepare lunches and dinners and must have the patience to encourage the girl to try new foods. There is a strong emphasis on healthy eating in the household so a similar attitude towards nutrition is expected from the nanny.
The nanny is required to wash and iron the girls clothes and keep the playroom, kitchen and girls room clean and tidy. The family describe themselves as a loving family who believe in gentle parenting and value meaningful and age-appropriate activities in addition to establishing good and workable routines. The family are bi-lingual (English and German) and it would be ideal if the nanny has German language skills, but most important is good English, the right experience and attitude and a confident, safe driver.


Requirements

Fluent English or German
Up to date Enhanced DBS
Proof of any Settled or Pre-Settled Status if from EU
Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
Right to work in UK
Good references for recent and relevant nanny work with babies and jobs that have each lasted a good length of time.
Able to run after small children
Able to sit at floor level and play and get up easily in order to run after baby when required!
Be available long term
Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
