Job Description

Job Title: Data Analytics Change Specialist

Job Type: Contract; Full-Time

Location: Canada (Remote)

Position Summary:

The company's Enterprise Data Operations & Technology (EDOT) team is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and agile Data and Analytics (D&A) Change Service Provider to support the Data and Analytics strategy by developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic change requirements in the on-going evolution of the deployment, usage and governance of data and analytics tools for the company's EDP. The D&A Change Service Provider will play a key role in ensuring projects (D&A initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. The Service Provider will focus on the people side of change including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The D&A Change - Service Provider will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the D&A changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes. EDOT s service model fosters a coordinated approach within our team and with our internal digital partners for the Data and Analytics change agenda that assesses risks, determines the impact on people and processes, plans for, and implements sustainable and operational change.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the EDOT Chapter Leads, COE Leads and Product Owners to provide change management advisory services for the D&A tools and products, all in different stages of implementation/development lifecycle. These include:

* An Enterprise Data platform and its data product releases,

* Data Cataloguing tool (Purview) Implementation,

* Azure ML OPS rollout and adoption, and similar.

  • Work with EDOT stakeholders at all levels to identify and validate change priorities and assess the level and impact of change.

  • Create actionable outcomes for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan for each D&A initiative.

  • Leverage the use of the company's Change Management Methodology.

  • Build relationships with other corporate change support teams where required such as

  • Corporate Communications, Program and Project Management, Business Partners,

  • Organizational Development and Learning and Development to partner in the delivery.

  • Coach and mentor team by sharing relevant change management methodology or facilitation processes, setting up processes so that change activities that are repetitive can then be handled by the D&A team as required.

  • Ensure stakeholder impacts are clear and communicated across dependent project streams and other portfolios/projects.

  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, mitigate risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.

  • Discover opportunities for process, technology, product and organizational improvements, pilots on a small scale, shares learnings with peers and managers, socializes change and negotiates improvements on a larger scale. Implements checklists, templates and systems to improve coordination across all our product teams

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience within the data and analytics environment including data governance as an enabling foundation.

  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to quickly understand and gauge corporate climate and culture.


Other Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent facilitation skills with ability to influence change at higher levels.

  • Agile, PMP or similar detailed knowledge of formal deployment management processes.


Other Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in employee and/or organizational effectiveness or change management.

  • Advanced knowledge of organizational effectiveness or change management principles and practices.

  • Change management certification or designation is an asset.
