Job Description

Salary: $145,000.00

We have partnered with a manufacturer of controls systems company in the Carrollton, TX area to provide them with a Director of Sales & Marketing.

Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Responsibilities of the Director of Sales & Marketing:

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories (USA, China, and India), projecting expected sales volume and profit for system upgrade projects, spare parts & maintenance contracts
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing sales information, engineering, and application trends
  • Determine annual order plans and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results
  • Report on KPI's to top management in order to gauge targets and milestones
  • Accomplish sales and marketing staff objectives by recruiting, training, scheduling, and communicating job expectations
  • Seek marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining the market, and competitor's strength and weakness
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities and other internal teams on marketing materials and cause studies
  • Improve product marketability and profitability
  • Work collaboratively with Project, R&D, V&V, and QA teams
  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels
  • Maintain sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions
  • Maintain and develops professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommend options and courses of action
  • Work in various environments, moderate travel, and field service work

Requirements of the Director of Sales & Marketing:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related business field (EE/CS degree is preferred)
  • Minimum of at least 10 years' experience in the Nuclear industry in sales and marketing with a proven track record
  • Knowledgeable in Nuclear Power Plant safety/non-safety I&C system platform and/or knowledgeable in the Fossil Fuel industry will be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prepare various types of reports and analyze.
  • Have good presentation skills, client relationships, negotiation, prospecting skills, sales planning, and motivation
  • Professional and self-motivated attitude with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • Moderate travel required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
