Overview:

Tek Wissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. The below clientis an American spacecraft launch service provider that manufactures and operates a number of rocket vehicles that are capable of launching spacecraft into orbits around Earth and to other bodies in the Solar System.

Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Decatur

Duration: 9 Months

Job Type: Contract

Work Type: On Site

Job Description:

  • Quality Engineering professional position to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality protocol for launch vehicles.

  • Additional assignments include: Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards; coordinating supplier requirements, maintaining supplier interfaces, interfacing with internal and external customers to facilitate acceptance of supplier products; devising and implementing, evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment; designing or specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality as participating in continuous improvement efforts, and performing analysis to determine the corrective actions for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

  • Individual will participate in control and disposition of nonconforming products, causal analysis & corrective action, correction action effectiveness/reliability, design for manufacturability and inspection planning.

  • This position is responsible for ensuring that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures, and government regulations.

Basic Requirements

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years' experience working with Quality

  • Previous experience in an aerospace environment working on metallic welded structures, composite materials and additive manufacturing

  • Ability to use associated test measurement and diagnostic equipment as necessary in performance of duties

  • Capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures;

  • Capable of interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures
